School for Josh and the two oldest kids went through the first week of June. Then, the second week of June, Josh and I went to Hawaii (thanks for Grandma and Grandpa Llewellyn for keeping the kids)
The view from Diamond Head
Right after we got done parasailing. Josh was feeling like he was gonna puke. :)
Not sure what this hike was called but there were some amazing views.
After our trip to Hawaii we spent two full weeks in home in WY while the kids had swimming lessons. Our kids haven't been around water much so we decided lessons would be good for them considering we will be doing a lot of swimming when we are in KSA.
They learned to love swimming thanks to their lessons so I took all 4 kids swimming at the only local public swimming pool. It's a small motel pool. Since I had all 4 kids by myself I still made Levi and Callie use life jackets.
On the 4th of July we went to the parade in Thayne (the town just north of us). I LOVE small town Wyoming parades. They are super short and you get tons of candy! Hopefully we will be around for the fair parade at the end of the month.
Last week my friends had a going away party for me. We went to the Bar J Wranglers Chuckwagon dinner and show. I love going to Bar J. It's one of my most favorite things to do here. It was such a great night! I really have the greatest friends ever!
Last weekend we made a quick trip to Salt Lake for the Despain reunion. This only happens every 5 years or so it seems so it was really nice to be able to go and see so many family members that we don't see very often.
I snapped this photo while we were trying to get all together for a big family picture. We had a great time that day and of course got asked a lot of questions about our upcoming move. Luckily they are all very supportive!
This week has been super busy so far! On Monday the kids and I went to Bear Lake with some of their Despain cousins. I LOVE Bear Lake! The kids all played hard in the sand and in the water. Brigham loved having a life jacket on and having me drag him through the water. Levi snorkeled for a long time and he really loves that. I am impressed at how well he does. On Tuesday we had to take all of the kids in to get the hepatitis A vaccine. Millie and Levi also had to have a TB test done. Josh and Levi both had to have some dental work done that day as well so it was a very busy day. Today the kids all had play dates set up so Josh and I had a couple of hours to work on getting some inventory done. I am not sure that we really go much accomplished because the whole idea of making an inventory of everything we are taking is just so darn overwhelming. I want things to be more organized than they are but I am having a really hard time figuring out how to do that.
Tomorrow Josh is leaving for a little get away with some friends he grew up with, and my cousin Lexie is coming up to stay for a few days. I am not sure how much work will be done in the next couple days but I do know we will definitely be having fun!
